The platform, branded HELIOS, automates the collection of critical data and risk profiles, reducing the administrative burden on relationship managers. Currently, over 100 managers—roughly 25% of the bank's total staff in this division—have implemented the tool across offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai. CEO Jason Moo confirmed that approximately 50 clients have already completed the full onboarding process via the new system.
Full integration across the bank is slated for completion by the third quarter, with plans to extend the technology to OCBC’s Premier Private Client segment before the end of the year. Loretta Yuen, head of group legal and compliance at OCBC, noted that the primary objective is to drive business growth by removing friction from the client acquisition cycle. This transition follows a broader industry trend; rival lender DBS recently expanded its own generative and agentic AI capabilities for virtual assistants serving over 10 million users across Asia.
