The collapse of Google’s infrastructure forced the bank to manage a cascading failure of its digital ecosystem.
By late afternoon, internal transfers and support chat were among the six out of 27 services marked as operational on the company's UK website. The bank continues to work toward full recovery as the cloud provider addresses the root cause of the downtime.
