Cayman International School quickly found their rhythm in the Under-11 division, dismantling Island Primary 11B 4-0 behind a brace from Sylas Berry. Liam Remizowski and Hugo Wheeler rounded out the scoring, though Island Primary faced an uphill battle fielding a squad comprised primarily of Under-9 players. CIS also maintained momentum in the girls’ league, besting Island Primary GA 3-1 with goals from Aven Ramsey, Blake Carruthers, and Lakely Pull.
Elsewhere, St Ignatius Catholic continued their strong run with a 2-0 win over Marie Martin Primary in the Under-9 category and a 3-2 result in the Under-11 division. Group B action saw Cayman Prep 9A cruise past Prospect Primary 4-0, while the Under-11 clash between Footsteps School and Cayman Brac ended in a high-scoring 3-3 draw. Following Red Bay Primary’s failure to appear for their match, NorthEast Schools claimed a 4-0 victory by forfeit.
League organizers have scheduled additional fixtures for Saturday, 17 October, to accommodate a record number of participating schools this season. Matches will span eight venues, including Annex Field and Camana Bay SC, as the competition breaks for the mid-term holiday.
