Nicki Hambleton
Nicki Hambleton is the Founder of NiH Consultancy and an Apple Distinguished Educator with over three decades of experience in teaching globally. She is an expert in integrating Technology and Art authentically in the classroom and using those for visual note taking. Nicki is also a trained Cognitive Coach and consultant in visual arts, thinking and learning strategies.
She teaches sketchnotes to students and adults through dedicated workshops and presentations and has authored a collaborative eBook on the process of taking notes digitally with other educators.
Nicki has a COETAIL graduate certificate and is an alumnus of the University of Exeter's Masters in Education: Technology, Creativity and Thinking online course. Her thesis and recent work focuses on the significance of incorporating visual and spatial methodologies for retrieval and the effects on long term memory.
Nicki is highly experienced in both teaching and leadership, working at United World College South East Asia International school from 2010 to 2022 as the Head of High School Visual Art. She was also a member of the COETAIL online2 cohort.
Nicki established NiH Consultancy, where she helps clients bring their ideas to life and make presentations more engaging and she provides workshops and presentations on visual thinking, creativity and sketchnotes and one-on-one coaching sessions.
She regularly shares her insights on embedding technology into the classroom on her blog, Thinking Tradigitally. Nicki also highlights her process of merging text and images on her Flickr account, and has also authored a collaborative eBook on the process of taking notes digitally with other educators.
