Akon

Akon, whose full name is Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam, is a Senegalese-American singer, record producer, and entrepreneur. He first gained fame with the release of his debut album, "Trouble," in 2004, which included the hit single "Locked Up" featuring Styles P. He followed up with his second album, "Konvicted," which included the chart-topping singles "Smack That" featuring Eminem and "I Wanna Love You" featuring Snoop Dogg.

Akon has hada successful career as a featured artist, with over 300 guest appearances and more than 35 Billboard Hot 100 songs, resulting in five Grammy Award nominations. He has had several songs certified as platinum or gold by the RIAA, and he was listed by Guinness World Records as the number-one-selling artist for master ringtones in the world.

In addition to his music career, Akon hasfounded two record labels,Konvict Muzik and KonLive Distribution, and has signed successful acts such as Lady Gaga, T-Pain, and R. City to these labels. He has also worked as a producer and songwriter for other mainstream artists, including Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Akon has also embarked on a massive project to builda tourist city in Senegal named Akon City, with a cryptocurrency-based economy using his own cryptocurrency, Akoin. The project has faced delays and concerns from locals about a lack of progress, but Akon has announced that construction will begin in 2023, with the first phase to be completed in 2030.
