Luca de Meo

Luca de Meo is an Italian automotive executive who currently serves as the CEO ofRenaultGroup. Known for his strategic vision and expertise in the automotive industry, de Meo has played a crucial role in the revitalization and transformation of several renowned automobile brands.

Born on June 13, 1967, in Milan, Italy, de Meo holds a degree in business administration from the Bocconi University in Milan. Hebegan his career in the automotive industry in 1992whenhe joined Renault as a brand manager. Over the years, he gained valuable experience and held various executive positions within the company, including Director of Renault Italy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Europe, and Vice President of the Renault Brand.

De Meo's career also took him to other prominent automakers. He joined Toyota Europe in 2002, where he held the position of Director of Marketing. Later, he served as the Director of Sales, Marketing, and After Sales at Fiat Group from 2009 to 2012. His contributions at Fiat were instrumental in the successful relaunch of the Fiat 500 and the rejuvenation of the Alfa Romeo brand.

In 2012, de Meo joined the Volkswagen Group as the Chief Marketing Officer, where he played a key role in the development of the company's global marketing strategy and brand positioning. His work at Volkswagen helped strengthen the company's brand image and increase customer engagement.

In January 2020, Luca de Meo assumed the role of CEO at Renault Group, taking charge of the company during a crucial period of transformation.
