Raj Kapoor
Raj Aditya Kapoor is a serial entrepreneur, tech innovator, educator, investor, and mentor with focus areas like blockchain, AI, Robotics, Cybersecurity, IoT, and cloud computing. He has designed and worked on 4 Blockchains, 5 Centralised Exchanges, 3 Swaps and 3 DEX's.
He is the Founder and Chairman of the India Blockchain Alliance, the largest Indian emerging technology tech think tank.
The India Blockchain Alliance was established with the purpose of mutual assistance in the field of business development, networking, cooperation and a joint approach to defending the interests of the members of the alliance. It also cooperates with the government authorities in the field of the relevant legislation.
"Web3 On The Sea" is an innovative project by IBA that was supported by the IT Ministry of Goa government. The project, which began in August 2023, aims to build the first Web3 Hub in Goa, accelerating over 500 worldwide Web3.0 startups and corporations.
Raj is also the Chairman of the Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation. He is an Advisory Board Member at over 60 Web3.0 companies including, Tata Elxsi, Spherium, Soulverse and more. He is also the CEO of Growth Alley Inc, USA
Raj has also been actively involved in initiatives promoting sustainable development, environmental conservation, and social welfare. He is the India Strategy Lead at 5ire, a sustainable blockchain ecosystem. Some of the projects he has been involved in are: "Carbon Chain", "The Tree Chain", and "Nature Conservation Chain".
Raj is also a mentor at Techstars, the largest pre-seed investor in the world. He has authored 20+ courses in blockchain, fintech, DeFi, NFT’s, Metaverse and more. These are implemented by NASSCOM, NSDC, CII, UnAcademy and multiple other edtech platforms in India and overseas.
Raj regularly speaks at Tech events in India, UK, USA, Africa, Malaysia and Canada and is also a 3 time TedX speaker. He is also a regular contributor to several publications including Economic Times, Fortune, Moneycontrol, Mint, NDTV Profit, Daily Tribune, Business Standard and more, and appears regularly on multiple television channels.
Raj Kapoor received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. In 2014, he was honoured with the "Excellence in Management Innovation'' award by the International Management Association (IMA). He was also selected amongst the top cryptocurrency and blockchain influencers by Asian Market Cap and received the Thought Leadership Award jointly with Microsoft in LA, USA.
