Calle Medin

Calle Medin is the Vice President of Sustainability at Husqvarna Group, a company recognized for its commitment to environmental sustainability. Under his leadership, Husqvarna Group has been acknowledged by TIME and Statista as one of the world's most sustainable companies, ranking 183rd in their 2024 evaluation of 500 companies. This recognition is based on rigorous criteria, including alignment with respected climate programs like the Science Based Targets initiative and high scores from CDP.

Medin has spearheaded significant reductions in the company's carbon emissions, achieving a 51% reduction since 2015, while also growing the business by 47%. This progress is largely due to the company's shift from petrol to battery-powered products, with 43% of motorised products electrified by 2023, up from 11% in 2015. Husqvarna Group aims to electrify two-thirds of its motorised products by 2026.

Additionally, Husqvarna Group was ranked 8th among Sweden's leading companies in the 'Hållbara bolag' (Sustainable Companies) index. Medin emphasises addressing sustainability challenges like climate transition and resource scarcity, and he attributes the company's success to innovation and a strong commitment to sustainability, encapsulated in their Sustainovate strategy.
