Ethan Mollick
Dr Ethan Mollick is a renowned academic specialising in artificial intelligence (AI),entrepreneurship, and innovation. He is an Associate Professor at The Wharton School and Co-Director of theGenerative AI Labs. His research focuses on the factors driving success in entrepreneurship and innovation and the transformative effects of AI on education and work. At the Generative AI Labs, he develops prototypes and explores how AI can enhance human potential while addressing its associated risks.
Dr Mollick is also the co-founder of Wharton Interactive, an initiative aimed at democratising education through innovative methods such as games and simulations. This effort uses rigorous pedagogical strategies to make education more accessible and impactful on a large scale.
He is the author ofCo-Intelligence, a New York Times bestseller that examines AI's integration with human intelligence. The book has been recognised as one of the best of the year byThe EconomistandFinancial Times. His writings on AI for broader audiences have further solidified his position as a thought leader. Dr Mollick was named one ofTIME Magazine’sMost Influential People in Artificial Intelligence. He was also featured onEdelman’s prestigious listof the Top 50 Trusted Voices in AI, alongside other industry leaders such as Andrew Ng and Fei-Fei Li.
Dr Mollick earned his PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he also obtained an MS/MBA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Science, Technology, and Policy from Harvard University. He co-founded a technology company early in his career and served as its Vice President for Business Development.
