Varun Mayya

Varun Mayya is anentrepreneur, hacker, and content creator based in Bengaluru, India. He studied Computer Science Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015, where he also took neural networks as an elective.

He started his entrepreneurial journey as the CEO and Founder of Jobspire in 2014, a recruitment platform that raised INR 1.7 crore in venture capital and helped over 1,500 companies, includingUberand Swiggy, with hiring. Jobspire was later acquired by TurnToTech, a bootcamp company in New York, where he worked as a Product Manager in 2017.

In 2017, he founded Avalon Labs, a software development company that conducted multiple experiments in the tech space. From 2021 to 2023, he served as the CEO of Scenes (formerly Avalon Meta), a community platform used by banks, stock brokerages, and EdTech companies. The platform raised a pre-Series A round from investors, including Kunal Shah and Gaurav Munjal.

He later shifted focus togenerative AI, founding Hacker Era in May 2023. Through this, he built AI applications such as Autocodepro.com (prompt-to-code tool), AlphaCTR.com (AI-poweredYouTubethumbnail generator), and Godinabox.co (GPT inside WhatsApp). These projects collectively have over a million users.

Since 2024, he has been working at Aeos, exploring the intersection of generative AI and content. He is also an angel investor, backing ventures like 100xEngineers, which aims to teach AI-driven engineering skills.
