Amit Jain

Amit Jain is the Co-Founder and CEO of CarDekho Group, an Autotech company in India valued at $1.2 billion as of 2021. He has played a key role in transforming the car buying and selling experience usingtechnology.

His career began in 1999 as a Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He later joined Trilogy, a US-based multinational firm, where he worked for nearly seven years in different roles, including Senior Associate, Delivery Manager, and Product Manager. At Trilogy, he was responsible for managing projects such as the evolution of YourBillBuddy.com in India.

In 2007, he co-founded GirnarSoft along with his brother Anurag Jain in Jaipur, aiming to build a large technology-driven company. A visit to the Auto Expo in 2008 led them to establishCarDekho, an online platform offering reliable automotive information. The company bootstrapped for seven years before securing $15 million in Series A funding in 2013, leading to rapid growth.

CarDekho Group now operates multiple platforms, including BikeDekho, Zigwheels, PowerDrift, InsuranceDekho, CollegeDekho, Rupyy, OTO, and Revv. The company has expanded into Southeast Asia, following a similar model to its Indian operations.

To support startups, Amit launched Girnar Vision Fund (GVF), which invests in emerging sectors such as autotech,fintech, and insuretech. His leadership has positioned CarDekho as a key player in India’s automotive sector, providing vehicle reviews, financing, insurance, and resale services.

Amit Jain continues to focus on digital transformation, business expansion, and fostering entrepreneurship. He completed his B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and studied at St. Xavier’s School before that.
