Andrew Kiguel
Andrew Kiguel is a Canadian entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years of experience in investment banking,blockchain, AI, and robotics. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Realbotix Corp., a company that develops AI-integrated, human-like robots for companionship and social interaction. The company focuses on robotics and AI to enhance human experiences.
Realbotix is publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (XBOT), Frankfurt Stock Exchange (76M0.F), and OTCQB (XBOTF). Prior to this, Andrew co-founded and provided leadership to multiple web3 and blockchain-based companies. He was the CEO, Co-Founder, and Director of Hut 8 Mining Corp., a publicly tradedBitcoinmining and blockchain infrastructure company.
Under his leadership, Hut8 Mining generated $143 million in revenue and $52 million in EBITDA within two years, raised $108 million in equity and $33 million in debt, and reached an IPO valuation of $450 million. Andrew also founded Tokens.com, a company focused on blockchain-based digital asset investments.
He was also the Executive Chair of Metaverse Group, which specialises in virtual real estate investments. He also founded Hulk Labs, a company operating in the blockchain gaming andWeb3sectors.
Before entering the technology and blockchain industry, Andrew spent 18 years as Managing Director of Investment Banking at GMP Securities (now Stifel Canada).
He was the lead banker on over 30 transactions exceeding $4 billion in financing and 10+ M&A advisory mandates totalling over $3 billion. He co-headed the Blockchain Group, led the Real Estate, Structured Products, and Retail Capital Markets divisions, and was Co-Head of Technology, Media Group.
Andrew holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto and an Honours BA from York University. He is an Independent Director at Smartset Services, Tribe Property Technologies, and Iocaste Ventures.
