Haseeb Qureshi

Haseeb Qureshi is the Managing Partner at Dragonfly, a global cryptocurrency investment firm. He has had a diverse career, moving from professional poker to technology, software engineering, andblockchain investment. At 16, he began playing online poker with a $50 bankroll, quickly turning it into $100,000 in a year. By 19, Haseeb was one of the top heads-up no-limit Hold'em players in the world and a self-made millionaire. However, by 21, he permanently retired from poker and donated half a million dollars he had earned from the game.

Haseeb shifted his focus to technology and software engineering, joining a coding bootcamp and later becoming Director of Product at App Academy. He then worked as a software engineer atAirbnb, focusing on fraud prevention, before transitioning to blockchain technology in 2017. His first crypto project involved publishing a security vulnerability in a DeFi protocol, which earned him credibility in the space. Haseeb also worked at Earn.com, which was later acquired by Coinbase.

Haseeb was a General Partner at MetaStable Capital, a crypto-focused venture fund. He later co-founded Dragonfly with Bo Feng, aiming to bring a global perspective to crypto investment. In addition to investing, Haseeb has taught various blockchain courses, including at UC Berkeley and the Bradfield School of Computer Science. He is also a published author, with his bookHow to Be a Poker Player: The Philosophy of Pokerbeing a bestseller.

Haseeb is committed to effective altruism and donates a third of his pre-tax income to charity. He follows a paleo diet, trains inCrossFit, and practices a minimalist lifestyle. Haseeb studied English with a minor in Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin and later completed a full-stack web development course at App Academy.
