Janet Adams
Janet Adams is a disruptive tech advocate anddecentralised AIexpert with published works on Ethics and Regulation of AI. She is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) atSingularityNET, where she is responsible for overseeing the operations of the SingularityNET Foundation and the growth of the SNET network and ecosystem. Janet’s role also encompasses technology, operations, marketing, strategic partnerships, and business development, with a strong focus on decentralisation and blockchain initiatives across multiple industries such asrobotics, biotech, gaming, media, DeFi, and arts.
She co-founded several ventures, including Yaya Labs, Zarqa, Cogito Protocol, Rejuve Biotech, and Jam Galaxy. Janet is also a Board Advisor and speaker. Notably, she was part of the team that launched the world’s first humanoid robot-fronted band, the Jam Galaxy Band, at the NAMM festival in 2022.
Before her role at SingularityNET, Janet worked at prominent financial institutions. She held leadership roles at TSB Bank, HSBC, and RBS, focusing on strategic projects,AI, automation, and process optimisation. She has been involved in risk management, regulatory affairs, and credit risk functions in the banking sector. Janet also has an entrepreneurial background, having founded Innelex, a company providing innovative electricity solutions.
Janet’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Petroleum Geosciences from Imperial College London, a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Essex, and a BSc in Geology from the University of Greenwich. Her published works focus on the ethics and regulation of AI, and she is a strong advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equality in technology. Additionally, Janet is passionate about using technology to drive social good, particularly in Africa, through education, sustainability, and job creation.
