Kah Tan

Kah Tan is currently the Director at NIV Consulting Limited. He provides management consulting services to international financial institutions, specialising in IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and financial reporting. He also reviews deal structuring and financial due diligence for complex deals. His key clients include prominent organisations such as Northern Trust,HSBC, Lloyds Bank,Morgan Stanley, and Credit Suisse.

Kah Tan is also the Founder and CEO ofBasetax, a position he has held for over 11 years. Basetax is involved in offering tax advisory services, focusing on areas like corporate tax and financial reporting.

Earlier in his career, Kah Tan worked as a Manager in Transaction Support at RBS from 2010 to 2013, where he served as the main finance contact for M&A transactions and managed asset disposals within the Non-Core Division. His responsibilities included preparing accounting opinions on transactions, handling acquisition and closing balance sheets, and managing external reporting.

He also worked as an Assistant Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank and was responsible for financial reporting and balance sheet analysis for the global investment banking group. His work also involved managing the financial integration of debt-to-equity swap transactions.

Kah Tan is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having earned his ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He also holds a Fellow status with the ACCA.
