Whitney Wolfe Herd
Whitney Wolfe Herd is the founder and CEO of Bumble Inc., a women-first relationship platform she launched in 2014 to challenge traditional dating norms. [2] As of May 2026, she is leading a strategic transformation of the company, overseeing the Bumble 2.0 initiative that replaces the signature swipe feature with an AI-powered matchmaker named Bee. [8] This shift aims to address industry-wide dating fatigue by prioritizing intentional and high-quality connections. Wolfe Herd previously served as the company’s executive chair before resuming the CEO role in March 2025 to steer this next phase of innovation. [9] A prominent figure in the technology sector, she co-founded Tinder and later became the youngest woman in United States history to take a company public during Bumble’s 2021 IPO. [3][9] Beyond her executive leadership, she is a dedicated advocate for digital safety and has successfully championed legislation against online abuse. [2] She also serves on the board of directors for Imagine Entertainment and the executive board of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman College. [10]
