Brene Brown
Dr. Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston, where she holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. [6][7][8] She also serves as a Professor of Practice in Management at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business. [6][7] Since 2024, she has held the role of Executive Chair of the Center for Daring Leadership at BetterUp. [6] Brown has spent over two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy to understand human connection. She is the author of seven number-one New York Times bestsellers, including her 2026 release, Strong Ground. Her work has reached global audiences through her widely viewed TED talk on vulnerability and her filmed lecture on Netflix.
